Every era of technology grew on a new source of data. Search gave us intent. Social gave us behaviour. Both were built on what people did: typed, clicked, shared.
The body was left out. Not for lack of devices: there are watches, rings, straps. But a smartwatch is a watch first, and it reads from one point on the wrist. It answers the questions a wrist can answer.
We think the signal worth having is elsewhere. Small nodes, placed where the body actually speaks: chest, back, arm, leg. Reading continuously, together. Not one measurement, but the quiet ones underneath, combined: what we call micro-data.
And the body is not one market. What a team needs from those signals is not what a workshop needs, or an atelier. Every new sector asks a different question of the same data, and answering it teaches us something the next one inherits. Each customer is a new vertical, and each vertical is research.
02Who we are
dia is built by two people who kept talking until it was obvious they wanted the same thing: to build something that lasts, together. A company, not a project.
Between us, eight years of shipping software and systems, and over a decade of designing products people depend on: fleet tools for UN agencies, platforms running across a dozen countries. We have both already built on our own, and both arrived at the same thought from different directions.
Behind every system there is a person. We are convinced that technology, paired with ethics and ambition, changes everyday life, and we would rather spend ours on that than on anything easier.
We are ambitious about this. Not about the exit. About looking back one day at every mistake we made, and at everything that got built anyway.
03Founders
Product & Vision
Andrei has spent years building products people actually use, from fleet tools for the UN to platforms running in a dozen countries. What stayed with him wasn't the scale; it was how rarely technology feels human. At dia he leads product and vision: deciding what the body's data should feel like in human hands.
He deletes more than he ships, and the product is better for it.
Engineering & AI
Diego is a full-stack engineer shaped by years of consulting across healthcare, fintech, IoT and sport: the kind of range that teaches you how systems fail, and how people actually use them. He has shipped AI pipelines and real-time backends that run in production every day, and has already co-founded once. At dia he owns the platform end-to-end, everything between a sensor on skin and an answer you can trust.
Somewhere in his browser, there is always a tab open about Japan.
04How it works
Every node streams raw biometric and movement signals. Alone, each is just a trace. Together, in the cloud, sensor-fusion models turn them into understanding no single sensor could produce.
